A partner for the entire life cycle

ERAB is a leading Nordic provider of industrial chimneys and flue gas ducts. For over 60 years, we have built up specialized expertise in new construction, inspection, service, maintenance, retrofitting, and decommissioning. For our customers, this means having a partner who can take responsibility throughout the entire life cycle of a chimney—with the same focus on safety, quality, and long-term cost-effectiveness, whether the project involves a single facility or multiple production units within a corporate group.

One partner. The same standard. All of the Nordic region.

With offices and operations in several locations across Scandinavia, ERAB has the capacity to be close to our customers, even when they have facilities in multiple locations.

For industrial groups, this means the opportunity to consolidate their work with a single specialist partner. Standardized work practices, coordination, and a consistent level of quality provide a better overview and make it easier to manage multiple facilities at the same time.

We can handle both planned operations and emergency situations—with the same high standards for safety and quality.

We have always strived for greatness

It all began in Örebro in 1963. Sune Bosäter and his colleagues began working at heights—specializing in industrial chimneys.

Their first projects mainly involved renovating brick chimneys for industrial facilities. But the heights also took them to the spires of churches, where roofs and symbols were given new life. Over the years, both their experience and the scope of their projects grew.

ERAB began working with steel and concrete chimneys and took on increasingly advanced projects for the industrial sector.

1982 – The First Step into the Nordic Region

1982 marked an important milestone. That was when ERAB received its first major assignment outside Sweden: to rebuild the chimney at the Ringnes Brewery in Oslo. This marked the beginning of a trend toward an increasingly strong Nordic presence.

Over the years, ERAB has developed extensive expertise in industrial chimneys and flue gas ducts—from inspection and maintenance to remodeling, renovation, and demolition.

2025 – The Next Big Step

In 2025, ERAB took another step forward when we acquired the Danish company Jysk Skorstens Service A/S. At that time, Jysk had been working with chimneys for nearly two decades and had built up a customer base and operations in some 20 countries.

Through the merger, ERAB also gained its own production of steel chimneys. This means that today we can take on even greater responsibility throughout the entire life cycle of a chimney—from design and new construction to inspection, maintenance, renovation, and decommissioning.

We can manufacture steel chimneys ranging from 10 to 150 meters in height and, together with Jysk, have about 60 employees.

Two stories. One shared future.

ERAB and Jysk Skorstens Service have both grown out of the same core philosophy: specialized expertise, safety, and quality must be the top priorities.

Together, we have created a stronger Nordic partner for the industry—with greater capacity, broader expertise, and the ability to support our customers throughout the entire lifecycle.

From brick to steel. From Örebro to the Nordic region.

With over 60 years of experience, ERAB has grown from its first brick renovation projects in Örebro to its current operations in industrial chimneys and flue gas ducts throughout the Nordic region.

Much has changed—the technology, the materials, the projects, and our geographic reach. But one thing remains the same: our commitment to creating solutions that last—and to being a partner our customers can rely on, from the initial design phase through to the final day of a facility’s life cycle.
